here are some pictures of our sweet baby girl. we ended up having her through an emergency c-section because the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck. even though we would've preferred to not have the c-section it was still a wonderful experience and we got some amazing pictures (most of which are probably too graphic to post on the blog!) Enjoy!

firetrucks, helicopters and more...

we went to the burn busters event at foothills mall and logan had a blast trying out all the equipment. he got to sit in a helicopter and a firetruck. we also got to look at all sorts of police cars and firetrucks and got lot of freebies!

easter 2009

the day before easter we went to our local park for a community easter event. the weather was cold and rainy, but logan didn't mind. we started off by playing on all the FREE inflatables. logan went down the huge slide by himself (i did have to help him climb up the steps being almost 8 months pregnant- i think everyone was looking at me). then we visited with the easter bunny and then we did the egg hunt!

i think he got some sour candy!





we gave logan his easter basket after his nap on sunday. i don't think he got that it came from the easter bunny, but he did get excited about his gifts!

logan turns 2!

logan turned two on march 16th and we had a little birthday party for him. he had a great time opening all his presents. after he opened each one, I would tell him to say thank you, then he would walk up to whoever gave it to him, say thank you , and ask them to open it. he has had a lot of fun playing with all his presents! thank you everyone!

the next morning felt like christmas as we opened up all his presents!

monster trucks

for valentine's day logan gave dan two tickets to "monster jam." logan also arranged to get his grandpa, two uncles, and two cousins to go. we talked up the event big time and got logan super excited about going to monster trucks. he loves to watch monster truck videos on the internet, so we were pretty sure he would like it. i think they had a great boys night out!

big boy monkey and big boy bed

in february we decided it was time to move logan to a big boy bed. he was crawling out of his crib every night and would only go to sleep in the rocking chair. so, to get him excited about the big boy bed we got him a big boy monkey. he has a little stuffed monkey that he loves to sleep with so we took him to build a bear to get a big boy monkey. he had a blast making his monkey and was really excited about it. we told him that his big boy monkey slept in the big boy bed and it worked like a charm! he still has his moments at bedtime, but overall we couldn't have asked for an easier transition.

this is logan's big boy bed in his new room. we cleared out the office and moved him in. i made the blanket to go on his bed and also the curtains.

dan MADE this AWESOME shelf that is perfect for these pictures. i got these pictures about a year ago planning on using them in his room and they are what inspired the rest of the room.

i painted this magnet board to match the green in the room. we also painted all the furniture in the room to go together.

ice cream and fire trucks

we were at mcdonalds the other day and we got logan a kid sized ice cream cone. the only problem was that he didn't like how cold it was and wouldn't eat it.

so he decided to put it upside down and eat it cone first.

i was at safeway a few weekends ago and they were having a car seat safety check. the fire department was there and logan was so excited to check out the firetruck. i think that the firemen were almost as excited as logan!
