happy birthday baby monster

allison turned one on may 7th and we celebrated with a cupcake birthday party! we had a bbq hamburgers and salad and fruit. then we had yummy strawberry and chocolate cake. allison wasn't too fond of the cake, but i don't think she was feeling well. she had a fever later that night after the party. too much fun i guess, poor girl. after cake, she had fun opening and playing with all her new presents! thanks to everyone who came and helped make it a great first birthday party for our little baby monster!

father son campout

logan and dan went on their first father son camp out. logan was counting down the "sleeps" until he could go. he had all his gear ready including his lightning mcqueen sleeping bag and his flashlight. they cooked hot dogs for dinner, had roasted marshmallows and even got to play in the snow! dan had fun spending time with logan and it was nice that he is old enough to go and not be too much work! they both had a great time and can't wait to go again.

temple

we were lucky to be able to go to the gila valley temple open house. although our kids were not very reverent, i am glad that we were able to go as a family and share the experience with them. logan was excited to see the temple and i think it was a great teaching opportunity!

yummy

here are some pics of allison having fun with her food. i also included some of my favorites of logan when he was younger. it is fun to see how they compare. i know they look alike, but i can't decide how much!

open wide

back in april logan had his first visit to the dentist. he was super excited since his cousin tyler went to the dentist. he was perfect for the hygienist and the dentist and they said his teeth looked great! here he is before we left showing me his current spongebob toothbrush. we had to bring it with us to show the dentist!
they had fun bright colored tables to lie on and awesome sunglasses for the kids to wear so the lights weren't so bright. logan loved the sunglasses and picked the scooby-doo table to lie on.
they even let logan be in charge of the spit sucker.
afterwards he got a little prize pack with a toothbrush, some floss, a pencil, and a squirt gun. all day he kept asking to go back.

sorry for the post overload. i have a bad habit of compiling new posts in blogger and then never posting them. so i went through and posted a bunch that had been just sitting there. enjoy!
